RGB: If you send us RGB files they will automatically be converted to CMYK - this conversion is not a recommended outcome as many colours may not output with required results. We will not accept responsibility for the outcome of such files, but if we pick up the problem before it is printed we will contact you to ascertain if you would like to cancel the order.

CONVERT YOUR FONTS: In order to avoid font incompatibility when printing, it is a requirement that you convert your fonts to 'outline' or 'curves'. This terminology can vary according to your design package. If you do not convert your fonts, errors may result.

OVERPRINTING: Make sure you also check for any overprinting errors within your artwork. you can do this by cycling the 'overprint preview' view on Acrobat or your art program.

TRIMMING: To avoid alignment issues, keep all artwork 1-2mm away from trimmed edges. Trimming misalignment will not constitute a reprint.

COLOURS: Beware! The colours you see on your computer monitor are not likely to be what you get from print.
Computer monitors, domestic scanners and domestic printers use Red, Green, and Blue (RGB). RGB is based on "additive colours" - combine red, green and blue light, and you get white light. Commercial printers use different colours: CMYK (Cyan, Magenta and Yellow are "subtractive colours". Combine cyan, magenta and yellow on paper, and you get what perceives to be black). And, different monitors will show colours differently. In order to print properly, any files that you supply for printing must be in CMYK mode. There may be variation in the colour you see displayed on your screen or printed proof to the final printed product you receive.
